Sometimes “going to the nations” is as easy as going next door. Over the past eleven years, people from Laos, Russia, Mexico, and seven other countries have all come to Neighborhood Church to take classes at our adult school for English-learners.
Here our foreign-born neighbors learn English while also learning about topics such as money management and consumer awareness, housing, health, and American culture. However, at the heart of our instruction is the knowledge that the deepest needs of our students are only met through the person of Jesus Christ.
Are you learning English as a second language? Learn and practice with us! Free classes begin September 14th, 2011. Free childcare is provided for children ages 0 to 5.
Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:15 – 11:15 a.m.
4684 Rhonda Road at Neighborhood Church. We meet in the west part of the campus in Rooms O and N.
We help you learn the English you need to talk to your children’s teachers, your neighbors, doctors, store clerks, postal workers, the police, and others.
This year we will use the Crossroads Café video series and accompanying workbooks to help you ask and answer questions, and to help you talk about everyday activities, home life, work, and relationships.
