Changing Staff Roles at Neighborhood

by NCAC Leadership Team

Have you ever asked yourself how God might best use you—with all your gifts, experiences and desires—for His glory? (We sure hope so!)

Over the past year, as a Leadership Team, we have been asking that question about our church’s ministry staff.  We’ve been asking if our staff members are currently positioned in the best possible way to serve God, to serve our church family, and to fulfill the vision that God has given us.

As we have asked that question and sought after God’s leading, some interesting things have happened.  We began to see that both Ryan Wildauer and Dan Eckley have gifts and passions that may fit better in ministry roles other than the ones they currently have.

Dan has always had a deep love and concern for high school students. Through- out the past few years in which Dan has served outside of youth ministry, his passion and love for youth have not waned.

Meanwhile Ryan has continued to gain passion to see both community and discipleship develop within the context of small groups here at Neighborhood Church.  Ryan also has a desire to preach and teach  more within our larger church body.

Therefore, on September 1, Dan and Ryan will be exchanging some of their key ministry roles at Neighborhood Church. Although Dan will continue to serve as an Elder, he will take over responsibility for High School Discipleship.

Ryan will begin to oversee our Home Groups and Children’s Discipleship as well as take on a larger teaching role in our church. As we have prayed for guidance, as we considered these men’s passions and gifts, and as we have consulted with other leaders, we have sensed God confirming this decision.

We are looking forward to seeing what God will do through these men in these new roles as He takes Neighborhood Church in the direction He wants us to go. We hope that you are excited with us as we pursue God’s best for Neighborhood Church.  Please pray with us that God will continue to guide and lead us through the transition process over the summer months as we prepare for this change in the fall.

If you have any questions about this change, please feel free to talk with any of our Elders. Thank you again for your prayers and partnership in the Gospel.
