Values

We value the SUPREMACY OF GOD in all things:

God, being eternal, self-existent, all-powerful, all-knowing, holy, and perfect is the center of our universe. All of creation exists to magnify His glory. This is the foundation and point of integration for all we are, think, and do.

We value JOY IN GOD:

We seek to be people who glorify God by delighting in all He is and does. God is the source of all true and lasting joy. We were designed to magnify His glory by being dependent on and satisfied in Him.

We value BIBLICAL TRUTH:

The Bible, being the inspired words of God to us, is our authoritative guide and standard for what we believe and how we live. The study of Scripture nourishes our souls and teaches how to treasure God in our lives.

We value WORSHIP:

Worship is the ultimate end for which we were created. Enraptured by the infinite, inexhaustible power, holiness, and beauty of God, we experience the height of joy as we celebrate Him! We place a high premium on individual and corporate worship.

We value PRAYER:

Prayer is a means by which we magnify the greatness of God’s power through our dependence upon Him alone. By prayer, we advance the Kingdom of God and find specific direction for our lives and ministry.

We value REACHING ALL PEOPLES with the Gospel:

We desire to see God glorified by all peoples everywhere as they experience new and abundant life in Jesus. We enthusiastically proclaim the good news of the “glorious Gospel of Christ” through diverse forms of outreach in our local community. We also promote, pray for, and support the world-wide missionary task, investing at least 15% of all giving to the church in missions.

We value COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:

We encourage believers to be actively involved in their local communities. We promote and contribute to ministries that are directed towards specific needs of our community and make our facilities available to local groups.

We value WORKING IN TEAMS:

We believe leadership by a team of Spirit-filled elders with diverse gifts who shepherd and provide oversight to the church glorifies God because it provides leadership to the church which is centered on God and not any single individual. Ministries throughout the church are led by teams.

We value SMALL GROUPS:

We offer numerous small groups and strongly encourage every believer to be in a small group. Small groups foster God-centered growth in the context of relationships as we learn to treasure God in and through the lives of others.

We value STRONG FAMILIES:

Families are strengthened as they cherish God. In turn, these families strengthen the family of God and the community. Our church ministries are designed to build a God-centered worldview into our families.

We value EQUIPPING PEOPLE for ministry:

Every believer is gifted by the Holy Spirit to glorify God in the joyful service of His Kingdom. We are committed to equipping Christ’s people to serve well and at times offer internships to those who are called to vocational ministry.

We value EXCELLENCE:

Excellence is a priority in the practice of ministry because it honors God and inspires people. We delight to offer God our very best as an expression of how much we value and treasure Him. Excellence is pursued in balance with our commitment to help people grow in their gifts and skills.

We value INTENTIONAL MINISTRY:

We minister with the aim of advancing the glory of God in all spheres of life and community for people of all ages. This pursuit takes precedent over preserving ministry structures or methods which are subservient to that supreme purpose.

We value STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS:

We seek to exalt the glory of God through serving other churches in our region. Recognizing both our unity with and our need for the larger Body of Christ, we also partner with other like-minded believers, churches, and organizations in our efforts to advance the cause of Christ.

We value FUNCTIONAL FACILITIES:

Because Christ is our supreme treasure, buildings merely serve Christ’s Church as tools for magnifying God rather than as monuments for enhancing our status. We value functional facilities and their full and frequent use for the glory of God.
