Nat Porter

Position & Ministry Description:  Gladly serves on the elder team as a non-vocational elder and also preaches and teaches occasionally.

Nat’s Vision: “To be a part of and help develop a local church community in which others experience greater joy in God through an encounter with his power and grace and truth in the person of Jesus Christ.”

Family Information:  Nat has been married to Brenda since 1991. They have 3 adult children: Wesley, Rianna, and Analise.

Church History:  Nat & Brenda have been connected to Neighborhood Church since 1994, when they were sent out as church planters to Central Asia. Nat served on the leadership team that Neighborhood Church sent out in 2014 to start a church in Red Bluff. In 2021 Nat and Brenda reconnected with Neighborhood Church, and Nat became an elder in 2022.

Ministry Experience & Education:  Graduated from Simpson University in 1992. He and his family worked with a church planting team in Central Asia for 10 years. Upon returning to the States, Nat did his graduate studies at The Bethlehem Institute (now Bethlehem College & Seminary) and Bethel Seminary in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. He relocated with his family to Northern California in 2010, and served as one of the pastors at River Community Church in Red Bluff from 2014-2021.
